Coinbase Global is a digital asset platform listed on Nasdaq as COIN, offering crypto trading, staking, custody, payments and onchain infrastructure to retail, institutional and developer customers in more than 100 countries. Founded in 2012, it went public in April 2021 by direct listing rather than a conventional IPO, valued at about $86 billion on debut. It is the largest bitcoin custodian in the world, holding on the order of hundreds of billions of dollars of customer assets. Coinbase is a remote-first company and states that it has no headquarters.
